Free showing of Animal Planet 's Dogs versus Cats at the Maynard Fine Arts Theatre

On Friday, June 11, our students were joined by a film crew from Powderhouse Productions, as well as a bunch of puppies and kittens, seeking students' help in answering that age-old question: which is cuter, kittens or puppies?

On Sunday, July 25, you'll have a chance to find out, when the Maynard Fine Arts Theatrre will present this Animal Planet special -- starring our very own pre-schoolers --  free and open to the public.

The show will air at 10:30 a.m. The theater is also providing free popcorn and drinks to all kids. The Fine Arts Theatre is located at 19 Summer Street, Maynard.

Community School Receives Grants

The Community School is pleased to announce that it has recently been awarded two major grants.

The Maynard Community Chest has awarded us $3,600 toward our operating budget for next year, while the Foundation for Metrowest has awarded us $3,000 to help fund scholarships for this academic year.

We are grateful to both organizations for their support of our mission to make high-quality, affordable early childhood education available in our community.
